The initial application, Cybersecurity Data Insurance is targeted at offering risk management for data that is transmitted outside the confines of protected internal environments. The Company has developed patented technology for packet inspection/tagging insurance that supports knowledge of transmission integrity, privacy and security.
Companies face the financial consequences from intercepted and stolen information while in-transit and at-rest, resulting in imposing recovery costs, lack of business continuity and first and third-party data breach. With so much at stake, risk managers today require a host of 24/7 network perimeter risk monitoring tools, including advance next-gen firewalls and exotic (ingress) data loss prevention (DLP) controls. CloudCover Risk Profiling (CRP) is the CDI customer cyber-risk underwritten score, i.e. cloud practice and data risks associated with online data exposure. CRP classify data security, privacy and data valuation in underwriting CDI.
Data risk classification and valuation is an imperative for this groundwork, born from research into next-gen firewalls, mobility, TCP packet risks and cloud services. It is also known in the insurance industry, that loss-control is the 'eyes and ears' of underwriting. CloudCover is to quanitfy the online data risks which lead to CDI.
